Alternative Assets
Alternative assets are funds or securities that seek to generate a positive absolute return regardless of market movements. Most funds can invest in any underlying asset class and will either buy securities (long) or sell securities they do not own (short) to profit from a falling asset price. The return from alternative assets should not correlate with traditional markets, although this is not always possible. Most alternative funds are unregulated offshore hedge funds, but they can be regulated UK funds. We will invest only in funds that have a reputable administrator and auditor.
